Refer news item ‘Village in Ramsoo ‘Sinking’ due to NH widening, people threaten protest’ DE Feb 21, 2019.
The ‘Sinking’ of the said village is indeed a serious matter, and should be taken cognizance of by the administration. The Government should constitute a high level committee of experts to know the exact cause of this disturbing development. The negligence on the part of the Government may cost the villagers heavily. It is, however, quite reassuring that the Deputy Commissioner has assured the people that the matter would be looked into at the earliest and advised them not to be panicky.
Hope the matter is resolved to the satisfaction of people at the earliest, so that people do not live in fear, and would carry on their day to day activities as usual.
