UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla, today conducted whirlwind tour of Udhampur city along with team of district officers to assess the progress on ongoing works.
The DDC asked the people to cooperate in development and remove the encroachments immediately and in case of any failure in this regard strict action will be taken against the defaulters. He instructed the CEO Municipality to stop dumping of waste material on roads and dispose off the solid waste properly without affecting the surroundings.
DDC also asked people to desist from wrong parking of their vehicles which chokes the movement of commuters and vehicles in the city area.
He expressed anguish over the dilapidated condition of roads in city area and directed concerned authorities to repair these roads at the earliest.
