Silver futures gain 0.25% on overseas cues

NEW DELHI, June 25:  Silver prices were up by 0.25 per cent to Rs 36,798 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions amid a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September month rose by Rs 90, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 36,798 per kg in business turnover of 15 lots.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in July contracts gained Rs 81, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 36,263 per kg in 117 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators in tandem with a firm global trend mainly led to the rise in silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.2 per cent to USD 15.93 an ounce in Singapore. (PTI)
