Sikh Sangat criticizes CM, PDP for ignoring Sikhs

JAMMU, Apr 24: An emergency meeting of the Sikh Sangat of Simbal Camp area was organized by S Raja Singh member DGPC Jammu and Sarpanch of the locality was held at Gurdwara Sahib Panchyat Tekri Simbal Camp.
The presidents and secretaries of the surrounding Gurudwaras also attended the meeting. The leaders of various Sikh organizations of J&K including Shiromani Akali Dal, Sikh United Front, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society, AISSF, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Welfare Society, S Amrik Singh Advocate, S Darbinder Singh, S Ramnik Singh, S Singh, Members DGPC Jammu and, S Gajan Singh, S Mohinder Singh, S Paramjeet Singh, S Kulwant Singh, S Surinder Singh Kala Convenor J&K Motor Transport Companies Association Jammu and Sarpanches of the surrounding Panchayats were also present.
The speakers strongly criticized the PDP and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for not fulfilling the promises made during the assembly election to constitute a State Minority Commission and induction of a Sikh minister in the cabinet form PDP quota. The PDP should have learnt the lesson from Srinagar Budgam Parliamentary election where the PDP has lost its candidate for not fulfilling their promises. The Sikh KAS honest officers has been attached without any charges and being harassed unnecessarily and some officers are being transferred in far flung areas. The participants appreciated the efforts of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch against drugs and make the Sikh organization strong at grass root level under the banner of Shiromani Akali Dal J&K.
They demanded to implement the Supreme Court of India directions to shift the wine shops and bars far away from National Highway and also demanded to stop the business of drug mafia which is flourishing with the help of J&K police and strict action be taken against those who were involved in drugs business.
