JAMMU, Sept 19: All J&K Sikh Unity Forum has appealed to the Director General of Police, Ashok Kumar, for conducting special police recruitment rally for Sikh community residing in Simbal Camp.
Convener of the Forum, Rajinder Singh, along with others members of the Forum including Tajinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Nirmal Singh, Dr Tarlok Singh, Abhijot Singh Dr Kirat Singh, Balbir Singh and Harminder Singh, today appealed DG, J&K Police, to conduct special recruitment of police for the youth of Simbal Camp.
The convener alleged that PoK refugees residing in Simbal Camp are still unsettled even after the Independence of the country and hence their economic condition is miserable; majority of the families are still below poverty line and hence incapable to provide better education to their children. A special police recruitment rally is the only ray of hope for the youths of the downtrodden community, whose future is otherwise in dark, he added.
He requested the DG to take the initiative and arranged special police recruitment for the minority community.
