JAMMU, Aug 21: Various Sikh organizations have demanded Rs 25 lakh package for each family of the displaced persons from PoK as recommended by previous State Government.
Members of these bodies including Sikh United Front, AISSF, BKNSS and others during meeting expressed serious concern over the delay being caused in the implementation of the package of Rs 9096 crore by the Union Government as already recommended by the State Government. They issued fresh appeal to the Modi Government to implement the package to ensure one time settlement of the PoK refugees.
Avtar Singh Khalsa, Mohinder Singh, Ramnik Singh, D S Wazir, Paramjit Singh and others were present in the meeting.
