JAMMU, Feb 24: Various Sikh bodies have expressed strong resentment for non-inclusion of their community members in the Legislative Council.
In a joint meeting of various bodies including Shiromani Youth Akali Dal, BKNSS, AISSF, Sikh Naujawan Sabha and members of SGPB held here today, the members strongly condemned the Coalition Government of NC-Congress, for ignoring Sikh members in the Legislative Council polls being held on March 7. They said both the major parties have not given representation to Sikh members.
They criticized AICC president Sonia Gandhi and PCC chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz for their bias attitude and said even Sikh community has not been given representation in the State Cabinet.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mohinder Singh, Narbir Singh, Gajan Singh, Paramjit Singh, Kulwant Singh, Manmohan Singh, K S Dutta, Devinder Singh and Ranjit Singh.
