SIF asks Govt to enforce guidelines strictly

Alarming spread of COVID Pandemic

JAMMU, Sept 23: All J&K PoJK-1947 Sharnarthi Intellectuals Forum (SIF) convened an emergency meeting of its Core Committee under the chairmanship of Amrik Singh which was also addressed by Surjit Singh its general secretary.
The forum expressed its grave concern over the escalation of day to day COVID- 19 Pandemic which is the great challenge and life threat to human beings. It urged the Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to direct the UT administration as well as to the advisors to take necessarily measures to combat the pandemic by enforcing the SOPs and guidelines in letter and spirit.
The Forum said some necessarily steps are required to be taken forthwith which included Nukad health camps be installed at village and wards level for checking of the COVID virus and all the Panches and Sarpanches and Municipal corporators be involved to educate the people about this deadly virus. Further all the water reservoirs and overhead tanks should be cleaned up.
The Forum said that in past during lockdown period there was a move of sanitization at wards and Panchayat level which was carried out by transport vehicles but as soon as lockdown was lifted and Corona virus increased all the sanitization system stopped without any reason. The Core Committee appealed the Lt. Governor to take some constructive measure in this regard and save the precious lives of people.
