The hideout was unearthed in Barachard area of Alal Top Darra in Thannamandi area in the border district of Rajouri during a joint search operation by police and the Army, the officials said.

In addition to UBGLs, the search parties also seized a damaged ammunition box, a blanket, a plastic tarpaulin, two packets of medicine, some utensils and daily use items.
However, the official said no one was arrested in connection with recovery.
The officials said recoveries were made possible due to relentless efforts of the security forces who are committed to ensure peace and stability in the region.
“Swift and precise action of the troops not only averted potential security threat but also reaffirmed security forces operational preparedness and resolve to counter any attempt to disrupt normalcy,” they added.
They described recovery of 10 UBGLs as quite significant.
Meanwhile, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) today conducted raids at two houses in the border district of Poonch as part of its ongoing investigation in a case related to narco-terrorism, the officials said.
The SIA sleuths searched the houses of Mohd Jameel alias “Akash” son of Mohammad Lateef and Amir Sohail son of Mohammad Akram at village Gagrian and seized several digital devices and documents, they said.
The case was registered by SIA Jammu in 2022 following recovery of a huge quantity of narcotics smuggled from across the border and the funds generated by selling the contraband were used to fund terror activities in the Union Territory, the officials said.
The raids were conducted in presence of Executive Magistrate and Incharge Police Post Sabjian in a case registered under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
The seized documents will be scrutinized to ascertain further role of the accused in narco-terrorism, the sources said.
