JAMMU, Oct 9: SSP Reasi Mohammad Sharief Chouhan today attached Incharge Police Post Jyotipuram Sub Inspector Ashish Khajuria for dereliction of duty and suspended Incharge Police Post Jamsalan ASI Shamas Din for misusing his powers.
Mr Chouhan said SI Ashish Khajuria had not been properly laying nakas to check bovine smuggling despite directives issued to this effect by him. He has been attached to District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi.
He added that ASI Shamas Din had misused his authority and prevented genuine people from cutting grass in their own fields at the behest of some vested interests.
A drive has been launched to check bovine smuggling in entire Reasi district, Mr Chouhan said.
