Shun politics of deceit: Ex-MLA

JAMMU, Mar 13: Former MLA and senior Congress leader Ashok Sharma has said that corruption in public life will continue degrading socio-economic fabric of India unless those in politics shun their designs of corruption and politics of deceit to restore the glory of India.
While addressing largely attended meeting at Kaller, Block Doongi in Rajouri today, Sharma termed Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as most powerful women leader of the world in the last century who liberated Bangladesh by resorting to peaceful means giving befitting reply to Pakistan.
Sharma expressed his sincere gratitude to the people of Punjab, Goa and Manipur for bringing Congress back to power giving befitting reply to the decisive politics.
AICC introduced an award in the name of Martyr Ghanishyam Khajuria, former DySP who made supreme sacrifice during the turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir for maintaining integrity, sovereignty and peace in this part of India and seventeen veteran socio-political activists, academicians and former police officers were awarded SVG award on the occasion besides, 65 widows were provided blankets.
A large number of people and family members of martyr attended the priogramme.
