JAMMU : The advance online booking of helicopter tickets for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2015 will commence on 20th March at 10 AM. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has made arrangements with Pawan Hans Limited and Global Vectra Helicorps Limited for providing heli-services on the Neelgrath – Panjtarni – Neelgrath Sector and the Himalayan Heli Services Private Limited for heli-services on the Pahalgam- Panjtarni-Pahalgam Sector.
Giving further details, P. K. Tripathi, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, informed that the on-line helicopter ticket booking facility will be available to the intending Yatris from 20th March, 2015 on the websites of the companies. The Heli-operators will also launch advance booking on 20th March, 2015 through their appointed agents.
The Chief Executive Officer, informed that, based on competitive bidding, the one way per passenger heli-fare for Neelgrath – Panjtarni and Pahalgam – Panjtarni Sector has been fixed at Rs 1950/- and Rs 4190/-, respectively, for Yatra – 2015.
The Yatris who wish to avail heli-service for their pilgrimage are not required to seek Advance Registration through the designated Bank Branches as their applications for purchasing heli tickets contain the required information and will be treated as Yatra permits for undertaking the pilgrimage.
However, all such Yatris shall not be allowed to board the heli-services unless they produce the required Compulsory Health Certificate issued by authorised Doctor/ Institutes which have been notified by the Governments of the States in which they reside.
Thus, every heli-travelling Yatri will have to furnish a Compulsory Health Certificate at the time of boarding the helicopter at Neelgrath or Pahalgam, without which the boarding pass will not be issued to the pilgrims.
