Shopkeepers’ Association blames JMC for poor civic condition

JAMMU, Nov 18: Shopkeeper’s Association, Rehari Colony today blamed Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for pathetic civic condition of Jammu city.
In a statement issued here, working president of the Association, Rajesh Gupta, who is also State secretary of Congress Seva Dal, said that the present civic condition in Jammu city is in shambles, especially within Rehari Colony.
He said dumping of garbage and filth is at every two feet within Rehari Colony, which gives so foul smell throughout the day and night that it has become difficult for the children to move freely, especially the old ailing senior citizens.
“Moreover due to corrupt practices in JMC, illegal construction of commercial establishments is increasing in Jammu city”, Gupta said and emphasized that the higher authorities of JMC has failed to control the illegal construction activities and maintaining civic condition in the city.
