Shopkeeper held with intoxicants, charas

JAMMU, Nov 10: Police today arrested a shopkeeper along with intoxicant capsules and charas from Surankote in district Poonch.
As per police sources, based on some reliable information, police team from Surankote police station conducted a surprise raid on an electronic shop in Surankote market.
During frisking, police recovered 340 intoxicant capsules and 60 grams of charas (cannabis) and arrested the shopkeeper, who has been identified as Jehangir Iqbal, son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Samote.
A case under FIR number 213/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Surankote police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Surankote police station Mehroof Ahmed made the arrest under the direct supervision of SDPO Surankote, DySP Ajay Sharma.
