JAMMU, Mar 26: Reiterating that Sansthan will work for brining the younger generations of the displaced community more closer to their culture and roots, Chairman
Pt. Prem Nath Shastri Sanskritik Shodh Sansthan Pt. Omkar Nath Sahastri said that the Sansthan has taken various steps in this regard.
Addressing a core group meeting of the Sansthan and prominent members of Kashmiri Pandit community here, he said various steps were already taken by the Sansthan in this regard and publication of Sharda primer was one step in this direction.
He said Sharda is the ancient script and from times immemorial it was the main script of Kashmiri language. He said to revive this script the Sansthan has taken many steps and second primer will be released during global KP Maha Chandi Yagya which will be held at the holy shrine Mata Kheer Bhawani ,Tulmulla in Ganderbal district of Kashmir from may 17 to 19.
He said the Sansthan has already performed 108 hawans and Chandi Maha Yagya at Jammu for the peace and prosperity of the state and displaced Pandit community leading an exiled life for last 23 years.
Shastri Ji said it was the result of divine blessings after performance of Chandi Maha Yagya in 2006 that at present hawans are being performed by Kashmiri Pandits at all religious places in Valley which earlier was not possible.
He said the renowned saints including Shankaracharya have been approached to bless the community during the Chandi Maha Yagya by participating in it.
