JAMMU, Oct 30: Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua Amarjeet Singh Langeh today acquitted a Pujari namely Seva Dhar of Bakhta Hiranagar, who was facing charges of making attempts to outrage the modesty of a woman, as prosecution failed to prove the case.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “the evidence of Investigating Officer also falsifies complaint based on which FIR was registered and investigation started”, adding “all facets of the case do not augur well for prosecution and only make it un-relieveable”.
“In light of evidence discussed, the evidence of doctor is of no utility to prosecution, for evidence of medical expert does not connect accused with infliction of injuries mentioned in the certificate on the person of injured”, the court said while acquitting the alleged accused.
