Shiv Sena stages protest, blocks NH

JAMMU, July 15: Shiv Sena today staged a protest and blocked Jammu-Pathankot National Highway against the State Government for not providing adequate facilities to Amarnath pilgrims.
The activists of Bari Brahmana unit of Shiv Sena led by their president, Raj Singh, assembled at National Highway in Bari Brahmana and raised slogans against the State Government and Shri Amarnath Ji  Shrine Board for allegedly not providing adequate facilities to the pilgrims, particularly those coming from other parts of the Country.
Addressing the gathering, Singh said that PDP-BJP Government failed to handle the Amarnath ji Yatra. He said  before commencing of Yatra SASB had taken several review meetings but it failed to provide even basic facilities to pilgrims, as people are wandering in Yatri Niwas and Jammu Haat in want of food and shelter.
Shiv Sena warned the Government to streamline the Yatra affairs and provide all required facilities to the pilgrims otherwise State unit of Shiv Sena will launch a massive agitation against the Government.
