Shiv Sena demands renaming J&K airports

JAMMU, Feb 17: Shiv Sena J&K has demanded that Jammu airport should be renamed after Maharaja Hari Singh and the Srinagar airport after Professor Balraj Madhok.
Addressing media persons here today, Manish Sahni, President J&K Shiv Sena said that Maharaja Hari Singh was the last ruling king of J&K whose reign heralded a sea of reforms and people friendly policies which endeared him to all his subjects, irrespective of class, religion and gender.
Sahni also reiterated the demand of holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja and claimed that LG, Manoj Sinha had assured a holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja but the same it yet to be declared.
He said that Prof. Madhok with 200 volunteers had protected Srinagar airport from tribal at the time of J&K’s accession with India.
Shiv Sena vice president, Sanjeev Kohli; president youth wing, Binni Mahajan; Kamghar wing president, Raj Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
