JAMMU, Dec 15: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar hosted an Inter-School Science Exhibition on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee.
The exhibition was aimed at providing a common platform to various schools, teachers and students to exhibit their gamut of science enthusiasts under one roof.
The chief guest on the occasion was Prof Ajit Angral, Consultant PMSS J&K. The other dignitaries present were Prof Devinder Sharma, HOD Physics, Akshay Parihar, Lecturer Biology and Rakesh Gupta Lecturer of Chemistry. The exhibition was inaugurated by VK Sharma DC Excise Department.
Rameshwar Mengi, Principal of the host school presented welcome address.
About ten esteemed institutions were invited to display their exhibits under the supervision of their guides thereby displaying an array of projects conceived by the young minds. The projects were graced by the eminent jury members who gave their valuable inputs to the students.
The chief guest and other dignitaries had a keen look at the exhibits displayed there. They interacted with the students who exuded confidence while explaining to him the various projects appreciated the various projects and activities that were on display.
The jury members after having deep and thoughtful views at the projects and the explanation briefed by the students gave out a tough judgment followed by the announcement of the results.
The first position was bagged by Government Boys Higher Secondary School Gandhi Nagar and was awarded with the cash prize of Rs 2000, the second position was bagged by Jammu Sanskriti School and was awarded with the cash prize of Rs 1500. Third position was bagged by Army Public School and was awarded with the cash prize of Rs 1000. The participants were given mementoes and certificates also.
In the end, Rameshwar Mengi, Principal presented vote of thanks.
