Shift Sub Registrar’s office for Arnia, Bishnah from Janipur: Bhardwaj

JAMMU, Sept 23: Pointing shortcoming in implementation of changed system of documents registration, Senior Congress leader and member AICC, Mohinder Bhardwaj has said, in a sudden move the office of the competent authority, which earlier used to be Munsiff Bishnah, has been arbitrarily shifted to Janipur.
He said that the shifting was imposed on the people without even taking them into confidence and seeking their opinion.
Bhardwaj said that people at large have failed to understand administration’s motive of first transferring registration work from courts to revenue department and then asking newly empowered sub-registrar office of the competent authority to a place which is inconvenient and cost effective for the people.
“I fully oppose this move to shift the office of the competent authority to a far off place which only reflects anti-people mindset of the administration,” he said adding why BJP leadership is silent on this vital public issue.
He cautioned the administration to take immediate remedial measures as the people of the area are becoming restive and could be forced to protest if the office of the sub-registrar is not shifted back to Bishnah immediately.
The Congress leader said all possible remedial measures including legal options would be explored if the administration failed to shift sub-registrar office back to Bishnah immediately.
Seeking intervention of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha in this regard, Bhardwaj claimed that a similar model is being followed by bureaucrats in other tehsils and areas of Jammu division too.
