JAMMU, Jan 13: A joint meeting of Sangram Sena and Dogra Liberation Front was held here today under the chairmanship of R.K Raina, Sangram Sena president and Kapil Sharma, president Dogra Liberation Front.
Speakers in the meeting claimed that the government pays no heed to the issues of Jammu and demanded shifting of slaughter house from Dogra Hall area (opposite Shiv Temple).
R.K Raina said existence of slaughter house near temple has gravely affected the sentiments of Hindus living in the vicinity.
He also said that slaughter house near a temple is objectionable.
Raina urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of J&K and Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation to immediately shift the slaughter house from the existing place to some other place outside of the city.
R.S Langeh, general secretary Sangram Sena; Ved Gandotra, president Freedom Fighter Association; Sudhir Padha, chairman Divine Touch and member Sewa Samiti; Brij Mehra, president Jammu Pragrati Manch; Rajesh Banathia, Karnail Singh, Shree Raghunath Mandir Sewa Samiti; Pawan Kumar, Raju Jamwal, Kapil Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Sanjay Gupta, joint secretary, Sangram Sena; Shiv Kapoor, secretary; Dr. A.K Chopra, Rajesh Sharma, S. Sukhvinder Singh, vice president Freedom Fighter Association; Rajeev Mahajan, president Samgram Sena and others were also present in the meeting.
