Shia Muslims protest against killing of minorities in Pakistan

KARGIL, Jan 15: Members of Shia community here today protested against killing of members of Shia community in Hazara Quita in Pakistan here today.
The protestors strongly condemned the killings of the minority Shias by the militant group of Sunni Muslims in Pakistan.
The call for the protest was given by Anjuman-e-Jumayat Ullama Asna Ashriya (Islamia School Kargil) and it was led by Imamm Juma Wal Jaamat, Hujatul Islam Wal Muslemmen Sheikh Mohammed Hussain Muqadas.
The protestors chanting slogans against the Government of Pakistan blamed it for its failure to provide security to the minorities whether belonging to Hindu, Sikh or minority Shia community across the country and the targeted killings go on unabated.
Condemning the killings member Youth Wing Islmia School Kargil, Murtaza Khalili said that the target killings by the so called Islamia groups like Taliban-e-Pakistan, Laskarae Jhangvi, Sipahae Sahaba, etc has to be stopped once for all. He termed the Pakistan Government incapable of securing the lives of minorities.
Khalili said it is shameful that on the beginning of new year and 180 Shia Muslims were killed in Quetta Pakistan.
The Imam-e-Juma Wal Jaamat, Hujjatul Islam Wal Muslameen Sheikh Mohammed Hussain Muqada while addressing protestors said killing of Shaias in Queta has sparked international outrage with rights groups and regional countries expressing concern over the ongoing carnage. Still those behind the violence are rarely caught or punished.
Meanwhile, last evening a large number of youth from Ladakh carried out a candle light procession in Jammu city in protest against the killing of minorities particularly the members of Shia community in Pakistan.
The students from Ladakh under banner of All Ladakh Muslim Students Association, Jammu (ALMSAJ) carried out the candle light procession from Karbala complex Jammu. The students were holding candles and pla –cards to show solidarity with the victims of the bomb blast in Quetta Pakistan.
