Rajouri, June 25: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh today ordered inquiry into the non-existent Sheep Husbandry Centre at village Ganiah in Nowshera.
This sensational disclosure was made by the Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh from village Langar and Block Development Chairman Nowshera, Bodh Raj before the Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri today, alleging that in reply of the RTI filed recently, the Directorate has replied that Sheep Husbandry Centre at Ganiah was sanctioned six years ago and staff was also sanctioned. A vehicle was also provided and even the salary of the staff appointed was also being released every month.
The Panchayat members and BDC Chairman besides public of the area was shell shocked after receiving response from the Directorate. They said the Centre has been sanctioned only on papers and do not exist on the ground at all. Then where is the salary of the employees appointed going.
Today, the BDC Chairman and others led by Sarpanch Sukhdev filed a complaint before the District Magistrate Rajouri Nazir Sheikh who directed the Additional DC Nowshera to hold inquiry into the matter and submit report within two days.
DC Rajouri when contacted said he received complaint about non-existent Sheep Husbandry Centre at Ganiah village in Kalsian area of Nowshera today. He said ADC Nowshera along with two other officers has been directed to hold inquiry and submit report just with in two days. He said action under law would be taken against the guilty in this regard.
