JAMMU, June 14: JK Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee in a meeting held today under the leadership of Iqbal Singh Iqbal, general secretary and convener of temporary committee to select the candidates for Gurdwara Board elections, resolved to go for the expansion of the committee.
The members unanimously resolved to include more members in this committee so that suitable, able and efficient candidates for Gurdwara elections are involved. The purpose of this committee is to guide the Sikh voters, especially belonging to PoK refugees to caste votes in favour of deserving candidates.
The members inducted in this committee included Onkar Singh from Poonch, Rajinder Singh from Kathua, Jasvinder Kour from Udhampur, Surinder Singh from Nanak Nagar, Jaspal Singh from Jewel Chwok and Balwant Singh from Chatha. The committee will work more vigorously and select one candidate out of contesting candidates from each constituency and urge the Sikh voters to vote for them.
The committee which comprised of Iqbal Singh Iqbal as convener, Gurvinder Singh and Randhir Singh members, is already working to identify the right persons to be elected for the religious purpose. The committee pledged to conduct survey for maximum places and will meet maximum people of Sikh community to reach on a decision.
