JAMMU, June 16: Major General Sanjeev Kumar Sharma has taken over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Jammu-based Tiger Division.
Maj Gen Sharma took over the command from Maj Gen Sanjeev Narain, official sources said today.
Sharma, a distinguished officer has an illustrious career spanning 32 years. He is an alumni of the Defence Services Staff College. He has attended the prestigious higher defence management course and the national defence course.
Maj Gen Narain has been posted as Major General General Staff (MGGS), Training Command, Shimla.
On eve of relinquishing the Command as General Officer Commanding Tiger Division, Major General Narain paid homage to the war heroes at the ‘Balidan Stambh’. It was during his tenure that the ‘Balidan Stambh’ was given a facelift including upgrading the Light & Sound show which showcases the gallantry action of the war heroes.
