Sharma starts road blacktopping work

AKHNOOR, Aug 28: District Development Councillor (DDC), Suresh Sharma here today inaugurated road blacktopping work of Mandrian-Nargada stretch which will incur an expenditure of Rs. 12 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that road blacktopping was the long pending demand of people of the area and in coming days the work of laying tar on all the roads inside block Maira Mandrian and Chowki Chaura will be started.
“Tender process for some works is near completion and these works will start soon,” he maintained.
He further said that in coming days, big projects will be seen on ground at Maira Mandrian and Chowki Chaura areas which will provide convenience to the people in commuting and every village will be connected with a Pucca road.
“Many welfare schemes have been implemented by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi all over India whose benefits are being given to every person, for which we express our gratitude to the PM. Every effort is being made for the betterment and progress of the area, which will benefit all of us,” Sharma said.
BDC Chairperson, Sushma Devi; BJP Mandal Pradhan, Dr. Ramlal Sharma; Sarpanch, Tarlochan Dutt; Naib Sarpanch, Uttam Singh; Panch, Puran, Diwan Chand, Ravi Kumar, Ratanlal, Joginder Kumar, Ranjit Singh, Rajkumar, officers of the department and others were also present on the occasion.
