Sharma for regularization of ReZ, promotion of Sericulture Industry

SRINAGAR, June 27: Member Legislative Council (MLC) and chief spokesperson of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Ravinder Sharma met Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir today and discussed the issue of regularization of Rehber-e-Ziarat (ReZ) candidates of Jammu province.
Sharma apprised Minister about the unrest amongst the ReZ candidates of Jammu province and pleaded for regularization of all those working as ReZ on the analogy of Kashmir province.
He urged the authorities for pursuing the matter vigorously for regularization of ReZ candidates in Jammu province at par with their counterparts in Kashmir.
Minister took up the issue with the authorities and said that in view of court directions, the issue of regularization of Jammu is pending.
Sharma also apprised the Minister about the steps to promote Sericulture Industry, which is having large potential in Nowshera-Sunderbani area.
He also demanded more facilities for cocoon growers and asked for expediting the process for setting up of proposed reeling Industries in Sunderbani and Nowshera areas.
Earlier, Sharma also met the Agriculture Production Commissioner and discussed various issues of farmers such as pending crop compensation.
He discussed for early setting up of fruit and vegetable mandi at Sunderbani and Nowshera, which is already proposed and the area and land for the same has already been identified and acquired.
