JAMMU, Feb 16: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, P.C Sharma while expressing his satisfaction over the Delimitation Commission’s report especially regarding bifurcation of Assembly segment Kathua and thereby reducing the burden of too long and typical hilly segment of Basohli. Sharma had advocated and demanded time and again for demarcation of Basohli Assembly constituency since years.
He said it has been too difficult to manage this vast segment. As due to geographic and social diversity among distinguished sections of the society in this region people had suffered a lot and kept aloof from the pace of development. He said this step of Government has accorded justice to the people especially those belonging to Kandi belt who were neglected and marginalized and schedule tribes and Schedule Castes from Kathua region.
He stated previous Governments and representatives totally ignored the genuine rights of masses of this area and expressed no solidarity with the backward people only for their political gains. The peoples have been politically looted in the name of caste and cultural identities and left underdeveloped for selfish desires.
He expressed satisfaction and gratitude to Delimitation Commission and Bharatiya Janata Party Government under the leadership of dynamic and charismatic Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Member Parliament and Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh.
He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir were befooled by the previous Governments and were pushed on the track of backwardness but now under BJP regime they are feeling secure and are witnessing a pace of development in each and every sector, either health or research, education or infrastructure, rural development or technology, business or commerce, human development or social elevation.
