Shardha Colony delegation calls on Div Com

JAMMU, July 17: A delegation Shardha Colony Sector 2 (Patoli Brahmana) Residents Welfare Association called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer here, today and submitted a memorandum highlighting their demands to him.
The delegation demanded upgradation of Primary Health Centre, Patoli Brahmana to Sub District Hospital as the area has a huge population.
It further demanded making of local Over Head Tank (OHT) constructed adjacent to a pond in Sharda Colony some years back functional to augment the water supply in the area. Besides, the land of pond be also fenced with construction of a park and a link road be constructed from Panchayat to Sharda Colony.
The delegation demanded immediate construction of lanes and drains in the area through UEED as the area has been recently brought under JMC and included in Ward 65. The delegation also demanded construction of bridge on Ranbir Canal the estimate for which had already been made by R&B Department after the matter was taken by the representatives of Association with Chief Engineer of the Department.
The delegation comprised of Avtar Krishan Raina, general secretary of the Association, Jai Krishan Pandita and Dr Ramesh Kumar Bhat both members of the Association.
