Sharda Colony residents plea to Bali Bhagat

JAMMU, June 12: Sharda Colony Welfare Committee Sector II, in an appeal to Minister of Forests and Social Welfare Bali Bhagat who also represents the Constituency has urged him to issue directives to concerned agencies to resume the construction of Sharda Colony road, the work on which has been abandoned for unknown reasons.
The president of the Committee Nana Ji ex Sarpanch said that residents of the area are facing many hardships due to dilapidated condition of road on which even two wheelers can’t move. The meeting expressed the hope that the Government will start the construction work on two rooms sets at Purkhoo for migrants immediately as announced by the Relief and Rehabilitation Minister. It said the construction of quarters is need of hour as hundreds of migrant families are still living in rented accommodations and they are not in a position to afford the rent. It said the decision of relief authorities will go a long way in settling the burning demand of the displaced Pandits.
