Shamsher, Sukhnandan inaugurate community sanitary units

JAMMU, Nov 1: Member Parliament (Rajyasabha) and senior BJP leader Shamsher Singh Manhas & former minister & MLA Marh, Sukhnandan Choudhary today dedicated community sanitary unit, which were constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 25.00 lakh & 20 more single toilet units to people specially to the devotees who visit every year to holy shrine of Jhiri on annual Jhiri Mela scheduled to be held in this month at Jhiri and Bawa da Talab.
It is pertinent to mention here that lakhs of pilgrims across the country visit this holy place of Bawa Jitto in Marh constituency to pay their obeisance every year to Bawa Jitto.
On the occasion Shamsher Singh Manhas asserted that development of religious places for promotion of pilgrim tourism in the State is the top priority of the Government.
He said that Government is making dedicated efforts to boost the vast religious pilgrimage potential of the State.
While speaking on the occasion MLA Marh, Sukhnandan Choudhary said that Government is taking requisite steps to improve facilities at prominent places of religious and tourist importance.
He said that he is making hard efforts to promote Jhiri as best tourist destination in Jammu as lakhs of people across the North India visit every year &to provide them the best facilities is his prime motive. “Requisite initiatives will be taken to enhance amenities for the pilgrims and make their stay comfortable and their visit a memorable one. ” he added.
SDM Marh S. Paramjeet Singh, BDO Marh, Ranjeet Singh, Tehsildar Marh, Babu Ram and a large number of people of the area were also present on the occasion.
