‘Modi Govt is pro-poor, pro-needy’

JAMMU, Nov 30: Highlighting the significance of the continuing free ration to 80 crore people for five more years, Sham Lal Sharma, vice president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir termed it as a poor friendly decision by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Government.
“Continuation of free food grains under PMGKAY for next five years will strengthen accessibility, affordability and availability of food grains for the poor and the vulnerable”, said Sham Lal Sharma and added that Modi Government has remained steadfast to strengthen and empower the poor and needy sections of the nation.
Sham Lal Sharma, while speaking to various delegations of the people during public Darbar at Party Headquarters, here today shared that the Modi Government has also taken a nationwide campaign to raise awareness for the public welfare schemes under the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra”, which will ensure more reach of such schemes to the needy.
Sharma and former JMC Mayor and J&K BJP vice-president, Chander Mohan Gupta accompanied by Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan BJP in charge, Dil Bahadur Jamwal listened to a number of grievances put forth by visiting individuals and deputations.
Individuals and deputations of people from various areas of Jammu & Kashmir like Samba, Billawar, Hiranagar, Jandrah, Dansal, Manwal, Sunjwan, Bhatindi, Akhnoor Pangyadi, R.S. Pura, Udhampur, Talab Tillo, Kalakote, Rajouri, Bhaderwah, Moh Katha, Gandhi Nagar, Pardha Kalan Akhnoor, Old Rehari, Baba Kailakh Nath Bantalab, New Plot had reached BJP office to meet these leaders with their grievances.
Issues related to the repair of hand pumps, repair of tube well, repair of lanes and drains, old age pension case, scarcity of water supply, installation of 250 KVA transformer, repairing and installation of new street lights, fixing of rent in place of HRA (Coal Mining), black topping of link road, fixing of electric poles, laying of water pipe at Baba Kailakh etc. were presented before the senior party leaders.
They after hearings to the problems immediately took up them with the concerned officials of the departments stressing for early resolution so that the people are not made to suffer.
Chander Mohan Gupta said that the BJP leaders make sincere efforts to sort out the issues presented by the people by taking them up at the appropriate platforms. He added that the public grievances camp is proving to be of major help in solving the day-to-day issues of people of the UT.
