JAMMU, Feb 4: Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma today inaugurated one-day annual festival at village Mathwar in Bhalwal block.
The festival was organized by the Baba Ballo Devsthan Committee in connection with the birth anniversary of Babaji. Thousands of devotees from different parts of the country participated in this annual event and paid obeisance and tributes to this famous saint.
The Minister also paid obeisance and sought blessings of Babaji. He also performed special Pooja and prayed for peace and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, the management arranged Hawan, Satsang and free langer for the devotees. The administration had also made elaborate arrangements of drinking water, electricity, medicare and transport for the smooth conduct of festival.
The temple and surroundings of most revered saint Baba Ballo were decorated suiting to the occasion. The shopkeepers had erected stalls of flowers, Prasad and other essential commodities for the convenience of the devotees.
The Minister congratulated the management for making excellent arrangements to celebrate the annual event. He also interacted with the devotees and enquired about the arrangements and facilities available at the Devsthan. He wished them good health, prosperity and hoped that Babaji may fulfill their aspirations.
It may be mentioned here that Baba Ballo Devsthan is one of the ancient and widely visited shrine after Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji, Shiv Khori and Sudh Mahadev. Throughout the year, the devotees from various parts of the country visit the shrine to pay obeisance. The facilities of transport and heli services are available for the devotees. During the past some decades, the administration has paid special attention for the development of this area in view of the significance of the shrine.
