AKHNOOR, May 5: As a part of Himayat programme, one day function was organised here in which the passed-out candidates of this programme were awarded with certificates of training here today.
As many as forty pass-outs were awarded with degrees by the former minister and senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma, who was chief guest. The undergoing batch of trainees also performed in the event and held many cultural and social events.
On the occasion, PCC senior vice president, delivered the inspirational speech to the trainees and urged them to excel in life as the world has abundant opportunities for the talented and intelligent youth. The function was organized with an aim to inspire and encourage the rural youth and lend them better exposure in life.
Sharma further said that the credit of such type of schemes like Himayat, Udaan Hunar Se Rozgar etc. goes to the then PM, Dr Manmohan Singh. These schemes were included in the PM package with a view to train our youth in various fields so that they are able to earn their livelihood.
At the conclusion of the programme, the chief guest distributed certificates among the youths who completed their training in the Himayat Centre and also wished them success in their life.

Other dignitaries who were present at the function included Ex- DC GA Khwaja, Munish DySP, Pushpinder Singh SHO,Naresh Dutt, Avishek Pandotra, Kuldeep Kour, Rajinder Kumar and Roshan Bral.
