Sham dedicates Health Sub Centre to public at Chakrohi

JAMMU, Aug 20: With an objective of providing better healthcare facilities to border inhabitants, the Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary, today dedicated a Health Sub Centre to the public at Chakrohi.
The Sub Centre has been constructed by the Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) in Chakrohi.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Minister said the Government is committed to provide best healthcare facility in every border village so that people do not suffer for treatment of ailments.
He further said the Government is taking various path-breaking steps for empowerment of poor, youth, women, senior citizens and downtrodden sections of the society. He called on the people to take maximum benefits of public facilities having been made available.
Sham Choudhary also convened a public grievances redressal camp at Suchetgarh to review the progress on the decisions taken in the previous public meeting besides assessing grievances of common masses.
Several deputations hailing from different villages called on the Minister on the occasion and apprised him of their concerns about road connectivity, water supply, power supply, healthcare and sanitation.
The villagers sought disposal of pending widow pension cases, construction of houses for homeless and revision of BPL list. They also demanded upgradation of transformers, construction of electric Sub-Station, replacement of electric poles and construction of lanes and drains.
