Sham calls on Nitin Gadkari, Shekhawat

NEW DELHI, Sept 26:. Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today called on Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping & Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Nitin Gadkari and apprised him with the status of ongoing Irrigation and Flood Control Projects being executed in the State.
He apprised him of the requirements of funds under 419 Minor and 04 Major and Medium Irrigation Schemes in all the three regions of the State. He also apprised him that the balance funds amounting to Rs 886.42 crore under Minor Irrigation and Rs. 114.39 crore under Major and Medium Irrigation Schemes were required to complete the projects.
Under Flood Management Program, Minister also apprised the status of execution of work and requirement of balance funds.
Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma and  MLA, Ravinder Raina were also present on the occasion who also discussed various developmental  issues with the Union Minister.
Union Minister assured the Minister for immediate action on his demands and also assured for clearing all outstanding funds in this regard.
Sham Lal Choudhary also called on Union MoS Agriculture,  Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and apprised him of agricultural scenario in border belt of Suchetgarh, R.S. Pura, Bishnah, Akhnoor and Chhamb.
MLA Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar was also present on the occasion.
Choudhary apprised him of the agriculture potential of these areas and emphasized the need for special focus to improve agriculture production. He also called for reaching out to  the farmers with the latest technological interventions in the field of agriculture for enhancing  their income .
Shekhawat assured them full cooperation and coordination with the state in this regard.
