NEW DELHI, July 21: Pioneer of the herbal beauty movement Shahnaz Hussain inaugurated the painting exhibition of a prolific painter Shree Kant Dubey at Lalit Kala Academy, here.
Shahnaz, patron of art and an artist herself helped the artists and promoted the exhibition. She always encouraged the artist and different forms of arts also. She also upholds the strength of the human spirit.
In the exhibition, Shree Kant Dubey has surmounted physical challenged to achieve distinction in art. Mr Dubey, at the tender age of 14, lost his right hand in an unfortunate accident. But that did not deter him.
He gradually started using his left hand to paint and he emerged triumphant in this test of strength of mind, body and spirit. His paintings have been widely exhibited.
A figurative painter, he has depicted Gods and Goddesses, as well as sensitive social issues through his art.
During the India Book Awards 2009, Mr Dubey was awarded for making more than 7000 painting on various subjects.
Currently, he is working as an art teacher in Ramjah School and inspiring students to achieve greatness in art.
