NC to constitute Pirpanchal Hill Development Council: Rana

JAMMU, July 21: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, Javed A Rana, was today accorded rousing reception in his home constituency by the party workers and supporters at his arrival after he was given NC’s mandate, for the forthcoming Assembly elections to be held later this year.
Jubilant supporters welcomed Rana at various places including Jaraanwali Gali, Gursai, Ari and Harni before he reached Mendhar town. Addressing a gathering at Mendhar Rana said that National Conference under the leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah will once again emerge victorious in the forthcoming Assembly elections and assured the people of his dedication and commitment to serve the common masses with greater zeal and energy.
Rana exhorted the party cadre to get ready for the forthcoming Assembly elections and take the message of peace, prosperity and development to every person. He lambasted the communal forces and reminded them that the era of communal and caste politics is over in the Pirpanchal region and people are vying to vote for the politics of peace and development.
Appreciating the efforts of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for creating new administrative units especially CD Blocks and Tehsils in Mendhar he assured the people that efforts are being made for granting district status to tehsil Mendhar. He also said that if people supported NC in the Pirpanchal region, the party will constitute Pirpanchal Hill Development Council for the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. He also assured the people of the revival of inter-district recruitment and fast track recruitment for the unemployed youth of border district.
