JAMMU, Jan 20: JKPCC vice president and DDC Member from Surankote, in border district of Poonch, Shahnawaz Choudhary was today elevated as Secretary, All India Congress Committee.
After the elevation of former JKPCC president, Ghulam Ahmed Mir as AICC general secretary, this is the second induction in the AICC from the Jammu and Kashmir in last one month.
AICC general secretary, organization, KC Venugopal issued an order in this regard after approval from Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today.
The order further said that AICC secretaries- Shahnawaz Choudhary and Christopher Tilak have been attached with the AICC Incharge for Odissa state, Dr Ajoy Kumar to look after the affairs of the Congress Party there.
Meanwhile, Christopher has been relieved from his current assignment as AICC secretary, attached with I/C Andhra Pradesh of the Congress Party, the order said.
