Shahidi Samagam held at Gurdwara Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, Dec 26: On the eve of martyrdom of four Sahibzadas of 10th Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Mata Gujar Kour Ji and others, 2-day Mahan Shahidi Samagam was organized at Gurdwara, Sector 14 Nanak Nagar Jammu.
An impressive Nagar Kirtan led by Inder Singh Soodan, Corporator was taken out from Gurdwara Sahib on December 24, wherein a large number of people participated in Nagar Kirtan under elaborate security arrangements by police.
The martyrdom of the four Sahibzadas is an important part of Sikh history and was also celebrated in the evening of December 25, with great religious fervour across the region. A large number of devotees participated in the programme.
Hazoori Ragi Jathas and Dhadi Jatha of Bhai Amrik Singh from Pathankot and about 33 children threw light by way of reciting Shabad Kirtan and reading poems by the children. Inder Singh Corporator awarded all the children who participated on this special occasion.
Dr Surjit Singh Raina, general secretary while speaking on the occasion highlighted the history of Safar-Shahadat of four sons of great Guru who sacrificed their lives for the sake of humanity & religion, also extended gratitude to the dignitaries and all the participants. A community Langar was also served to the devotees.
