RAMBAN, June 3: Expressing dismay over shortage of foodgrains at the sale outlets of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, District president National Conference Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen today blamed the PDP-BJP coalition for denying even basics to the people.
“The Coalition Government has mastered in making hollow promises, which they know are not meant to be kept”, Mr Shaheen said while addressing office bearers at Banihal, adding the PDP-BJP duo stands exposed before the people. He said the Government has failed on all fronts.
Mr Shaheen also criticized the administration for failing in ensuring essentials to the people, saying the monitoring mechanisms seem to have been abandoned. He called for deployment of mobile squads to ensure availability of essentials at reasonable rates during the ensuing month of holy Ramadan.
Mr Shaheen also sought regulated supply of power and drinking water and hoped that the administration will rise to the occasion and make necessary arrangements.
