Excelsior Correspondent UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: The Shaheedi Diwas Gurupurub of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji was celebrated together by security forces and local populace, here at Guruduwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib located in Teg Bahadur Nagar. Speaking on the occasion, various speakers threw light on the day and remembered the sacrifice of life given by Guru Ji to uphold the freedom of religion and save Kashmiri Pandits from the forcible conversion by Aurangzeb. Deputy Commandant of 137 Battalion, Nirmal Singh and jawans of Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy, DGPC Udhampur, Army, and MES joined hands with Gurudwara Committee Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Gurudwara to remember the martyrdom of Guru Ji. The teachings of Guru Ji were also highlighted by various speakers.
