Shaheed Udham Singh remembered on birth anniversary

JAMMU, Dec 26: To commemorate the 117th birth anniversary of Shaheed Udham Singh, who avenged the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh by killing the Machael O Dier, J&K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) held an impressive function at Dogra Shaurya Sthal Amphalla, here today.
The function was organized by the president of the Association, Ved Gandotra, wherein Ranbir Singh was the chief guest.
Floral tributes were paid to the great martyr with showers of petals on his photograph. Candles were also lit in his honour and two minutes silence was observed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
The members also remembered Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Neta Subash Chander Bose, Chander Shekhar Azad and all other martyrs who sacrificed for the freedom of the Motherland.
Prominent among those participated in the function were Rajiv Mahajan (State president, Shri Ram Sena), Pritam Sharma (State president, Kranti Dal), JJ Singh, Harvinder Singh, Sorav Kumar and Ankush Pawar.
