Shaheed Bhagat Singh remembered on birth anniversary

JAMMU, Sept 27: J&K Freedom Fighter’s Association held a function to remember Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary at Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir here today.
The function was organized by the president of the association Ved Gandotra and Kiran Wattal, former Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Jammu was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the members highlighted the life history of shaheed Bhagat Singh and his associates, who fought for the freedom of the motherland. Other freedom-fighters remembered were Netaji Subash Chander Bose, Maha Rani Laxmi Bhai, Chander Shekhar Azad, Ashfaq Ullah Khan etc. who scarified their lives for the motherland.
Others present on the occasion were Parbhat Kapahi, Rajeev Mahajan, Ram Rattan Raina and Sayeev Sharma.
Meanwhile, the members of Bhagat Singh Force Trust celebrated the birthday of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Ji at its office in Digiana, here today.
The spokesperson of the Trust, Darvinder Singh Musafir enlightened the ideology of Bhagat Singh and appealed the State and the Central Govts that the day may be celebrated as ‘Shaheedi Divas’ in the memory of the martyr.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ajay Dogra, Pawan Sharma, Gagandeep Singh, Manav Nagar, puneet Gupta, Manoj Kapahi and Manvinder Singh.
