Shah meets Bhagwat; said to have discussed J&K, land bill

NAGPUR:
BJP president Amit Shah today had a meeting with the RSS top brass here, seen as significant against the backdrop of the party’s alliance with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s statement giving credit to Pakistan and separatists for the peaceful polls there.
The meeting between Shah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi at the organisation’s headquarters in Mahal area here lasted over eight hours.
The meeting was also significant as the RSS’s Pratinidhi Sabha, its highest decision-making body, is to meet here in the third week of this month.
Though Shah did not speak to reporters, RSS sources said the common minimum program of PDP-BJP alliance; Sayeed’s controversial statement, the position on Article 370, and the land bill were discussed at the meeting. (AGENCIES)
