JAMMU, Apr 3: Lambasting National Conference (NC) vice president and former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for advocating a separate Prime Minister for J&K, BJP national president, Amit Shah today asked Congress chief Rahul Gandhi to clarify his stand on the issue raised by his alliance partner.
Addressing mammoth election rallies at Udhampur town and Sunderbani in Rajouri district today, Shah said that BJP will never allow this to happen as there can’t be two Prime Ministers within one country.
Maintaining that BJP is committed to national unity and integrity, Shah warned that even if BJP will be in opposition it will never allow NC leader to succeed in his designs to create a State within a State or separate J&K from the country.
The BJP president, who also turned tables on Congress and its president, Rahul Gandhi said that he should clear his stand on this as well as other vital issues like raising of `Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan by a N C candidate and former Minister, Mohammed Akbar Lone at an election rally. Instead of maintaining silence over these issues Rahul Gandhi should tell the nation whether he subscribes the pro Pak slogan of a contesting candidate of his alliance partner in the State and demand of separate PM for J&K.

Making a scathing attack on Congress chief, he said he (Rahul) should tell people whether he stands for two PMs within a country and if not then why he made a truck with the NC. “BJP does not care for chair when there is question of national pride, unity and integrity of the country”, he added.
Expressing shock and surprise over the Congress manifesto in which it has promised to revoke Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and removing of sedition law from IPC, Shah said that BJP kicked the chair in the J&K State when the party was under pressure to revoke AFSPA. “We did not lose even a minute to come out of the Government but did not make any compromise on national unity and integrity”, he added.
He said Congress and NC are day dreaming like “Mungeri Lal key Haseen Sapney” and they don’t know that Modi Government is like a rock behind the armed forces who under trying circumstances are guarding the borders of the country on chilly snow peaks and terrains.
Shah asked people that will they support Congress which is for removal of AFSPA to boost terrorists or BJP which is for continuance of AFSPA and weeding out of terrorism?
Making a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, the BJP president asked that should those who shouted slogans of “Bharat teray Tukdey HongayHazar” in JNU at Delhi be dealt for sedition or not?
“It is Narendra Modi led Government which did not spare those who raised such slogans. But it is shameful that Congress chief is siding with those who raised such anti national slogans.”
He alleged that Congress, NC and PDP are supporting anti nationals while terming the manifesto of Congress party also dangerous which indicates to bring back emergency in the country by curtailing the freedom of the press again as was done during the black days of emergency in the country.
He wanted to know why Rahul has promised to remove AFSPA and sedition laws from the IPC. “Are the anti national elements his relatives if not then why he is supporting them”?. Shah asked and said “if Rahul Gandhi will call names to BJP leaders or BJP itself we will not react at all but if you will try to eliminate the laws meant for punishing anti nationals we will not tolerate it”.
“Our Army is laying down their lives in guarding the nation and you promise removal of ASFSPA”. “BJP leaders and workers laid down their lives for the national unity and integrity and they will only allow this to happen on their dead bodies”, he added.
Amit Shah also held Nehru and Congress responsible for present Kashmir crisis saying what was the fun of declaring cease fire in 1947 by Nehru when the Indian forces were advancing and Pak intruders were on run? Sardar Patel, the then Home Minister took the decision on Hyderabad and Junagarh which were having same problem like J&K at that time but they were settled and Kashmir plunged into crisis because Nehru did not allow any one to interfere, he added.
He said 44 brave hearts of CRPF were martyred by Pak terrorists early this year in Pulwama and Modi Government ordered surgical strikes to attack terror camps in Pakistan. Entire nation celebrated it by firing crackers, distributing sweets and making merry but Pakistan was shell shocked which was obvious, he said, adding but along with it Rahul Gandhi, NC and PDP leaders were also in shock.
Hitting out at Sam Patroda whom he called Guru of Rahul Gandhi, Shah said after surgical strikes Patroda said that if some people will do wrong that does not mean that entire country should be attacked. But Modi Government has resolved to give a befitting reply to terror as the nation has tolerated a lot till date and there is also some limit to the tolerance” he added.
He said “we did not attack Pakistan but terrorists who are after our blood and we reserve every right to attack such forces, which are inimical to our interests”.
Amit Shah said that Jammu and Ladakh continued to face discrimination during the Congress and NC rule which ruled the State for maximum time. But Modi Government eliminated this discrimination during last five years of its rule by bringing a revolution in the State after launching many game changing projects and welfare schemes.
He said the reservations were given to IB and Pahari people, 17000 bunkers were sanctioned for the border area. Besides the funds sanctioned for the State during UPA Government were 98000 crore which were increased to 2,74,000 crore by Modi Government and out of which 1,74,000 crore were earmarked for Jammu and Ladakh divisions.
He said the main achievement of Modi Government is that India status increased at international level and country’s security was strengthened. He said the image of India has increased to such an extent now that after surgical strikes Pakistan tried to seek support of other countries but no nation supported it and they stood behind India, which shows such is the influence of Narendra Modi’s diplomacy, he added.
Shah, while accusing the Congress and other parties of settling Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in J&K and other parts of country said soon after Modi Government returns to power, it will start the deporting of outsiders from the country. As no foreigner will be allowed to settle in India illegally, he added.
Shah said BJP made sacrifices for the merger of J&K State with India right from 1947 and Dr Shayama Prasad Mookherjee the then Jan Sangh president attained martyrdom on the soil of the State. If J&K is the part of India today it is because of these sacrifices of BJP men and struggle launched by Pt Prem Nath Dogra, a great Jana Sangh leader from Jammu, he added.
At Udhampur, he highlighted the works and projects brought for the welfare of the people of the constituency by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister and candidate from the constituency while at Sunderbani, he highlighted the projects brought by the sitting MP Jugal Kishroe Sharma for the development of the segment.
He appealed the people to vote for these two candidates and ensure victory of BJP. He said he also comes from a border area in Gujarat and hence he can realize and understand the pain of border people who face shelling and firing from across but they remain touched with the ground and work shoulder to shoulder with forces for protecting their motherland.
In his welcome address at Udhampur, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh highlighted his five years achievements as a MP. He said after every two kilometers there is a monument of development. He said in five years of Modi Government BJP removed the discrimination faced by the region during over 60 years of Congress and NC rule. He assured that he will complete the unfinished task and make the Constituency a Model in the country if given a chance again.
He cautioned the people against the false propaganda of opposition parties like Congress and NC as they have nothing to offer to masses except false promises and filling their personnel coffers by indulging in corrupt practices and scams.
At Sudnerbani, Jugal Kishore also highlighted his five years performance and said that BJP Government worked in real sense for the betterment of common masses.
