SGEJAC announces protest march on Nov 5

JAMMU, Nov 3: The employees under the banner of State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) have resolved to organize protest march towards Civil Secretariat on the opening of `Darbar Move’ offices in Jammu on Monday (Nov 5).
Senior members of the Joint Action Committee including Suresh Sharma, Sushil Sudan, Subash Verma and Zaffarullah in a joint press conference here today said that as already decided, the employees of various Government Departments and PSUs will assemble at Press Club on Monday and then start protest march towards Civil Secretariat at around 10 am.
They disclosed that purpose of the march is to lodge protest against the attitude of the Government as it has failed to address the pending genuine issues of the employees which included regularization of daily rated/ consolidated workers, enhancement of retirement age, removal of pay anomalies, providing justice to PSU workers, enhancement of medical allowance etc. They also demanded 12 LPG cylinders on subsidized rates as it has put excessive burden on the employees and other people in general.
They issued appeal to the employees from various departments to assemble at Press Club before 10 am and make this protest programme as grand success.
