Sex racket busted in Rajouri, 2 women among 3 nabbed

RAJOURI, June 25: With the arrest of two women and a local shopkeeper, the police claimed to have busted a sex racket which was being run hardly 200 meters away from Police Station, in Rajouri town, during early hours raid today.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Yougal Manhas said that based on a specific information that a woman is running sex racket in her rented house in Ward No 4 of Rajouri town, a special team headed by Deputy SP Headquarters, Govind Rattan and SHO Rajouri , Ajaz Haider was constituted.
The police team involving women constables, in presence of Executive Magistrate raided the suspected location and nabbed two women and a shopkeeper hailing from Muradpur. He is running shop at Panja Chowk in Rajouri town.
One among the two arrested women, is an actual resident of Sankari village in Kotranka and presently resides in Ward No. 4 of Rajouri from where she was running the racket for the past sometime. She has been identified as Gudia (names changed), wife of Zameer Hussain. Another young woman, Shakila Kouser (name changed) hails from Bera village in Mendhar.
SSP said that the arrested man, identified Chander Parkash hailing from Muradpur village near Rajouri, runs a shop in Panja area.
A case in FIR 376/2019 under sections 3,4,5,7 ITP Act and 370 RPC has been registered in Police Station Rajouri and all the three have been taken into police custody.
Police said during the initial investigation, some more names have come to fore who are directly and indirectly involved in the racket. The lady running the racket, was in contact with some young girls and youth of the area besides a few prominent persons. The call details from their mobiles phones are being scrutinised. Some more arrests are likely in this connection, he added.
