JAMMU, Apr 1: Amid the lockdown to contain Corona Virus, hundreds of Sangh volunteers working on the ground and providing food, medicines, ration, essentials and other relief material across the ten districts of the Jammu Division to the needy persons and to facilitate relief distribution the RSS affiliate Sewa Bharti today launched various help line numbers for disaster management in all districts of the Jammu division for reaching out to the needy persons.
As per a Sewa Bharti handout the Sangh has distributed Jammu into 18 districts and two persons were made incharge of each districts who will coordinate in relief distribution among the people. Their names and numbers have been circulated among all the cadres of the Sangh across Jammu division.
This decision was taken to facilitate and streamline the relief distribution, so that all the needy people get the relief and no body is neglected. The Sewa Bharti has so far covered 5000 families in Jammu division by providing 28 kgs of ration per soul, the handout said.
The helpline mobile numbers were also flashed and circulated at respective districts and block head quarters, so that the public at large can avail this service.
Sewa Bharti which is on the forefront to distribute the relief material to the needy persons who are facing difficulties due to lockdown besides, relief material the organization has started distribution of Masks to the people those who are found without masks in the streets and houses. They also distributed tea and biscuits to the security forces personnel deployed to supervise the lockdown.
Meanwhile, RSS volunteers continues its relief material distribution on 8th day among the needy. On Wednesday Swayam Sevaks distributed relief material at Narwal, Bhagwati Nagar, Doman, Thathar Basti, Tophsherkhania, Peerkho, Raghunathpura, Channi Himmat, Peer Mitha, Bus Stand, Chinor, Janipur and other areas. The relief material contains Rice, Atta, Edible Oil, Soap and other daily need material.
