Sewa Bharti holds AGM, constitutes new team

JAMMU, May 19: Sewa Bharti Jammu and Kashmir held its annual general meeting here, at Ved Mandir Complex Ambphala, today. During the meeting, key stakeholders, members, and volunteers came together to discuss the organization’s achievements, challenges, and future plans.
Rupesh Kumar, Prant Pracharak RSS was the chief guest on the occasion while Jaidev, Akhil Bharti Chatarwas Pramukh was the guest of honour. The meeting was informed that Sewa Bharti continued its commitment in serving the community through various initiatives, including education, healthcare, and disaster relief.
It was also informed that at present seven hostels are functional for the needy students with all basic amenities and one new hostel is under construction in Bani area of Kathua district. The organization emphasized its efforts to provide quality education to underprivileged children. Several schools and vocational training centres were established across the region.
Under healthcare services, Sewa Bharti expanded its services, reaching remote areas with medical camps, awareness programmes and free health check-ups and organisation of blood donation camps, the meeting said.
Under disaster relief, the organization played a crucial role during natural disasters, providing immediate relief and rehabilitation support to affected communities.
Sewa Bharti acknowledged the dedication of its volunteers and encouraged more people to join hands in serving humanity.
During the meeting the organization outlined its vision for the coming year, focusing on sustainable development, skill-building, and community empowerment.
Later on, the existing Committee was dissolved by Dr. Anil Manhas who remained president of Sewa Bharti for two terms and elections were conducted for the new president.
Dr Rakesh Kumar Jha (Professor & HoD ECE Department, Central University Jammu) was elected as the new president of Sewa Bharti Jammu & Kashmir.
Thereafter, the new president constituted a team and awarded the responsibilities to other members of team and nominated Ashwani Paba, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Dr Anil Manhas as patrons of the organisation. Pardeep Kapoor has been appointed as general secretary, Sewa Bharti J&K, Trilaknath Negi Farooq Dar and Prahlad Manhas were appointed as vice president, Vikaran Mahajan as joint secretary, Sooraj Sharma as office secretary and Ajay Takoo as treasurer.
